They Never Give Up

Traditional Australian values are consistently under attack by the media, especially the ABC. Time and again its left wing bias is denied, but the impartiality provision in its charter is blatantly ignored and the conservative values of middle Australia are constantly attacked.

With a new political editor it was hoped that sense would prevail, but no, Andrew Probyn has already been accused by The Australian Communications and Media Authority of a scathing judgmental attack on former Conservative Prime mInister Tony Abbot for his realistic views on climate change. Will he get more than a slap on the wrist? – No chance!

Tony Abbot was betrayed by his back stabbing ministers and the result has been policies which are letting down Australia. Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has allowed the glamour of the international high life she has associated with, to seduce her to personal promotion, style and fashion, and neglect of her responsibilities to our region in favour of what goes down well with the UN and the EU.

She has allowed China to begin to replace us in the Pacific and it has been suggested that she has no long term plan for the region except a holding pattern left over from colonial times.

While the small Pacific nations on our doorstep look to us to lead them, our lack of attention has opened the door to the entrenchment of China. These nations share our traditional values, indeed at least one of them shares our currency, but we seem blind to their practical needs for assistance in government, services and education and instead offer to help with the empowerment of women, climate change and less visible help, while China forges ahead with strategic  infrastructure building.

These nations are crying out for our politicians to put aside their fashionable ideologies and return to basic practicalities, and that should be the case both at home and abroad. Thankfully, due to Tony Abbot, we now have border control, but immigration is still out of control and multiculturalism divides us rather than unites. We are mis-educating our children, neglecting our history and Western Christian heritage and replacing them with destructive social engineering which undermines our traditional values and culture, hardly the pattern the Pacific nations need.

Our society is still cursed with a hand-out culture in the hope of ending exclusion, but it isn’t working, and we have undermined the family and marriage which remain the bedrock of middle Australian society. Political correctness remains a poison which is white-anting  the structure of our nation but its proponents never give up.

The values we need to reclaim are the true values which will stand eternally, but which have been replaced with the evils of political correctness. Its proponents will find themselves in opposition to Christ who will return  ‘to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”  Jude 1:15.

End Time Politics

The Australian liberal party is in trouble. As we approach the next election it will struggle because it is impossible to reconcile both its conservative and liberal ideals. It is usually successful when it concentrates on its conservative strengths but at the moment it is led by a liberal at heart who naturally finds himself in growing agreement with the progressive socialists on same sex marriage, climate change and identity politics. This brings him into conflict with many conservatives in his party who treasure our national and religious traditions, our freedoms and our heritage of Western civilisation. They feel betrayed.

The protection of these values against mass immigration, global governance and socialist anti-colonialism has already seen liberal voters moving their allegiance to Pauline Hanson, and the ‘Australian Conservatives’ , thus the party seems to be heading for self destruction.

This movement mirrors what we have seen in the US  under Trump and  in a  growing number of countries in Europe who are rejecting their traditional parties and voting instead for little known populist parties who are actually prepared to listen to the dissatisfaction  of many who despise the looney left’s agenda of open borders, political correctness and identity politics, which threaten their religious freedoms and Western Christian heritage.

All this adds up to movement towards the right, which in German led Europe does not bode well in the light of end time Bible prophecy about a coming European dictator which it calls ‘The Beast’.  The only thing missing there at this point, is a pope who does not favour the progressive left, for the biblical ‘Beast’ will be assisted in his plan for world dominion by the unifying support of a great false church and its religious miracle working leader.

Despite their temporary success for some three years, the return of Jesus Christ will see their defeat and destruction after the battle of Armageddon, Revelation 19:20, ‘And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. ‘ NAS.

End Time Soon?

Events in the Middle East seem to be speeding up with Israel’s activity against Iran’s forward tactics against Israel, and even the suggestion  “The Big War is however, on its way” (World Commentary – ‘The Australian’  20/04/18)  Several Church leaders have suggested that this will be brought about by the soon fulfilment of Daniel 11:40 ….’At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood.’     This refers to a threat by Iran to Europe which provokes Iran’s invasion and defeat, soon to be followed by Armageddon. 

There is no doubt that Iran is building forces which will grow beyond its proxies such as Hezbollah, and its foreign Shia militias from Pakistan and Afghanistan, who are paid US $800 a month and promised residence in Iran in its attempt to destroy Israel, until it controls lands even into North Africa, for these allied nations will be defeated by Europe in its coming war with Iran.

Those things are prophesied and will occur, but not for a good while yet. What these church leaders have not taken into account are other prophecies which clearly indicate that the King of the North, the Biblical ‘Beast’, of Europe will first strike a protective treaty with Israel, which he will then break by its invasion 3 1/2 years later, while instigating that war with Iran, Daniel 9:27, ‘He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven’  [of years ] but in the middle of that seven he will put an end to sacrifice and offering …..’.  (Read our article “Understanding Daniel’s 70th Week”)

Even before any of those events will occur, an amazing miracle will astound the whole world, and introduce those last seven years of ‘tribulation’ – world war, famine and pestilence, Revelation 14:6-7, ‘Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”  To understand more please refer to the ‘End Time’ articles on this website, and be assured that none of these events will occur until after that world -shaking miracle, designed by God to warn the entire world to repent before God’s punishment falls. But even then, most will leave it too late to escape with their lives, Matthew 24:22,

“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.’   

Fracking the Northern Territory

It seems our government is not able to think beyond the immediate future, unable to consider the generations ahead as some of our earlier, more far sighted leaders achieved, with projects like the Snowy Mountains scheme and the delivery of  pipeline water from Perth to Kalgoorlie.

So now they have actively encouraged the removable of the moratorium on gas fracking in the Northern Territory  – an epitome of greedy short sightedness and unconcern for the irreparable damage  to the environment which it will deliver.

Four years ago I wrote this about fracking :-

FRACKING – A GOOD IDEA?

Fracking is being promoted as the new saviour of the US economy and also in Britain and here in Australia. It can provide cheap and plentiful energy right on our doorstep. In the US, which is leading the search for shale gas, the price has now dropped to 1/3rd of the price in Britain, enabling industry to produce cheaper products and bring jobs back that had been lost offshore.

Fracking is new technology which makes it possible to collect gas previously locked away in shale rocks, by pumping into them a mixture of water and chemicals at very high pressure, fracturing the shale and releasing the natural gas they hold. Huge reserves of this new energy are thus available in our nations, but putting aside this further use of carbon fuels, is it a good idea?

In a program on SBS Sunday night, entitled  ‘Fracking: the New Energy Rush’, Professor Iain Stewart found a disturbing lack of transparency about the dangers of fracking to the populations living near to the gas wells throughout the US.

While it was apparent that many people with private water wells and bores now found their water fizzy with methane gas which had come from the fractured rocks, it was not clear how that gas had reached the surface. Was the water 17 times higher in gas content than normal because of leaking pipes, faulty well construction or just plain bad practice?

Many people he visited, no longer drank from their wells, had resorted to buying bottled water, and even animals would not drink the water, though he found no evidence of the chemicals used reaching the surface.

He did find people who were sick, who believed it was caused by the gas companies fracking nearby, though many who had been compensated by the gas companies were not allowed to talk about it, as part of their compensation agreement. Apparently the chemicals used are so secret that only the doctors of those who are ill, are allowed to know what they are, and then only under strict confidentiality.

That in itself is deeply worrying, for why the secrecy, unless they are harmful, but the big problem is, what lies ahead, twenty or thirty years down the road when the gas is gone, but the chemicals remain, and the already leaking pipes corrode and allow them to reach the surface, or even the deep aquifers which provide drinking water for nearby populations.

We have no right to thoughtlessly pollute the future, in our greed for quick financial gain. There is an old saying “Live your life as if you would die tomorrow. Farm your land as if you would live forever”! That coincides with the probable origin of the thought, which we find in Genesis 2:15, ‘The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it……’”   NIV.

This time the humungous quantities of water, chemicals and acid that will be pumped into the ground of the Northern Territory  will result in thousands of wells and holding dams for the polluted waste water which includes carcinogens, neurotoxins and reproductive toxins.

The pristine waterways and aquifers  will be polluted by monsoonal floods, common so far North in Australia, in ways which cannot be put right by man – ever! Four years ago I warned that God will not ignore such wilful damage.

Since then, the curses God promised in the Bible for the disobedient have begun to fall upon us, including terrorism and the growing threat from the North. It will get worse, and result in our land being taken from us, until our population is decimated. We will have deserved it because we have ignored God’s words and rejected His commands. Only those who actually change their ways and begin to obey His commands will survive to see Christ’s return and the world restored to Eden-like conditions.

 

 

Which Day is the Sabbath in Australia?

 

 …Or for that matter, any nation East of Jerusalem, such as Kenya, Iraq, India, China, Japan and Australia. There has been a suggestion that the International Date Line is just a man made concept in conflict with the Bible, and that in God’s coming Kingdom, Jerusalem will be the new International Date Line – the Sabbath then starting at Jerusalem and traveling West around the world with the sun.

 Some proponents of this concept have already begun to keep the Sabbath one day later here in Australia – on Sunday. However, it is important that we should consider what effect this concept would have in practicality. 

 The main problem is that if Jerusalem became the new Date Line, which would extend to the North and the South, the half of Jerusalem to the East of that line would be one day behind the half to the West, and one could walk back and forth in and out of the Sabbath day, for example. That is the reason why the present International Date Line is over the Pacific Ocean, almost empty of land and opposite Greenwich in the UK, on the other side of the world– to avoid such problems.

 Next, we should look at the reason why such a concept should arise, and we find it in Isaiah 2:3, last part, ‘For out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.’  Everything regarding the world’s governance will then emanate from Jerusalem, for Jesus Christ will rule the world from there, as King of Kings, Revelation 19:16, ‘On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.’ 

 But there is another scripture we should take into account, Genesis 1:5,‘And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.’ God’s days start and end at sunset, unlike secular days which start and end at midnight. God’s day starts with sunset followed by dusk or twilight, and then darkness before the daylight part of the day arrives.

 We must consider both these verses in our conclusion, and there are many examples in the Bible of men who had to put them into practice. Take Daniel the prophet for example. He was taken into captivity by the Babylonians and carried away to Babylon, well to the East of Jerusalem. As he travelled East from Jerusalem he would have noted each day as it passed and so knew exactly which day was the Sabbath when he arrived in Babylon. He used Jerusalem as the determination of the Sabbath day and took into account the time which passed in travel to the East, to find the true Sabbath at his destination.

 And that is exactly what we must do today in order to follow Isaiah 2:3, as we will see! 

1    First, let us accept the fact that the Sabbath is determined by the    Sabbath at Jerusalem. 

2   Jerusalem, in God’s eyes is the centre of the world, Ezekiel 5:5, “Thus says the Lord GOD: This is Jerusalem. I have set her in the center of the nations, with countries all around her.

3    Jerusalem will then replace Greenwich as the starting point for time – ‘Jerusalem Mean Time’. Time will then be determined in degrees East and West from Jerusalem, both, 180 degrees, placing the new Date Line exactly opposite Jerusalem on the other side of the world, as occurs today with Greenwich Mean Time; still in the Pacific Ocean but a little further East. Thus Time, and the Sabbath, also goes forth from Jerusalem, determined by the distance East or West from Jerusalem and the beginning of God’s day at sunset.

 4  ‘On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it East to the Dead Sea and half of it West to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter.’ Zechariah 14:8NIV.  Just as God’s Holy Spirit and His Way and His Laws will emanate from Jerusalem to the East and to the West, so does the beginning of His Sabbath Day, though centred on Jerusalem.

5  If we turn this principle into practicality today, we find for example, that, based on Greenwich Mean Time, the Sabbath starts 6 hours earlier in Perth, Australia than it does in Jerusalem. The result is that Perth actually now shares 18 hours of the same Sabbath day with Jerusalem, as time flows out of Jerusalem in all directions in God’s eyes, for He does not dwell on the Earth, as we do.

 6    However, if God’s Sabbath were to move only West, instead of flowing out from Jerusalem in all directions, Isaiah 2:5, (Brown Driver Briggs compares it to water) and Zechariah 14:8, we are still left with the problem we mentioned at the beginning, about stepping from one day to the next over the Dateline, and then we in Perth, Australia,would only share 6 hours of a common Sabbath with Jerusalem, most of it falling on a Sunday. 

  So, we are left with a choice and we must decide which seems to be the most biblical, sensible and practical choice. Those who chose a Dateline at Jerusalem must explain how that difficult problem would be overcome. I would love to hear their solution, for an International Dateline has to occur somewhere!

Free Speech and the Homosexual Agenda

The hoo-ha over Israel Folau’s response to an instagram question in which he was asked what he thought was “God’s plan for gay people”, to which he replied “Hell…..unless they repent of their sins and turn to God”,  highlights the current state of political correctness regarding gender in our society.

The response of corporation’s sponsorship of Rugby Australia was typical. Alan Joyce, the gay pride CEO of Qantas, was obviously angry if the comments of the company are anything to go by, and the overall impression is that Rugby Australia had better keep its players opinions quiet if they want to keep their sponsorship.

Despite that, there were surprisingly more defenders of Folau’s right to express his beliefs than the PC brigade expected; even a former human rights commissioner, the ‘progressive’ Sydney Morning Herald, and publicity agents, joined in on his behalf, though The Australian newspaper quoted an Anglican priest expressing his personal view that being gay is not incompatible with being Christian.

Actually, that statement is only partially true. One can be a non practicing homosexual, having recognised it is sin and repented as Folau suggested, and be a Christian, but to be an active practicing homosexual , and proud of your sin, will lead you to Hell.

But neither was Folau wholly correct. There are several different words in the Bible which are translated Hell and do not equate with the common belief in a place where the guilty are tortured with fire for eternity.

The one word which is used to convey death by fire applies to those sinners who defiantly refuse to repent, who the Bible tells us will be thrown into the Lake of Fire – there to be burned up and turned into ashes, rather than suffering eternally.

Despite all this hoo-ha, it remains a right and a responsibility of Christians to witness to the truth  of the Bible’s statements about sin, the breaking of God’s laws, in the hope that some will repent. The great danger of political correctness is that this right is under threat from those pushing the homosexual agenda, and they will not be satisfied until any criticism of them is silenced and made illegal.

So would end Free Speech.

Romans 1:24, 6:23. ‘So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies…….For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.’  NLT.

Designed To Deceive

There is a disturbing trend of hyperbole used by the left in their support of lawbreakers which is once again designed to shut down debate supported by conviction and evidence. It needs to be called out for what it is – deliberate deception.

We saw it in greens Senator Nick McKim asserting that Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton was the embodiment of “fascism” . If McKim had any understanding of the word he would know that Hitler and Mussolini ran totalitarian regimes, and that he was only free to accuse Peter Dutton for his advocacy of border protection, detention of illegal immigrants, and his suggestion that Dutton was implementing a ‘white Australia’ policy by offering visas to South African farmers who were threatened with murder, because Dutton is a member of a government which does not use fascist terror, murder or secret police. Senators should know better than attempt to deceive Australians by dishonest misrepresentation.

We also see it in claims by indigenous Australian activists that Aborigines are victims, when criminal behaviour is revealed by community protection patrols in cities like Townsville, which is experiencing a crime wave by a small minority of mainly Aboriginal youths.

Those neighbourhood watch patrols were brought about by a wave of home invasions, burglaries and stolen cars. Police cars were being rammed by young offenders at the wheel. The chief Superintendent of Police, Kev Guteridge welcomes the help of the patrols as “A model we are seeing morphing out of Neighbourhood Watch”… “There is no evidence before me of … these people taking the law into their own hands or acting unlawfully. They are the extra eyes and ears the police need to get on top of this. When something is going on, they ring the police …they are not dealing with things themselves.”  In fact they sometimes place the fleeing offenders under citizen’s arrest until the police arrive.

Nevertheless, that does not stop the indigenous activists complaining; “I make no bones about this … they are vigilantes and they are probably more dangerous than the kids they chase,” says Gracelyn Smallwood. Her complaint echoes the shameful claims of those activists protesting at the Commonwealth Games that all Aboriginals are the victims of Australian society, while in most cases such Aboriginals are responsible for their own circumstances through their own choices, cultural traditions, drink, drugs and the physical abuse of their families by ‘elders’ .

Their deceitful claims do not square with the increasing numbers of successful Aboriginals in society, the media and even in Parliament or as government advisors, whose success witness to the efforts of society to lift indigenous Australians into the 21st century – no small feat when the First Fleet found them in the stone age just a couple of hundred years ago. To pretend that they are ‘victims’ today is both deceptive and evil, for it flies in the face of the relevant financial and land return statistics, and the growing number of integrated and productive, successful indigenous Australians.

Our Pollies Folly

Time and again I have suspected there was something fishy about our politicians spouting about the ‘obvious’ benefits of high migration levels and strong population growth. Maybe that is because I experienced exactly that for years in Britain under Tony Blair, and the only noticeable results were negative – shortage of housing, increased competition for the Health Service which resulted in  longer waiting times for hospital treatment, increased welfare uptake, longer traffic jams and social strife caused by the Muslims refusing to integrate, many of whom would not even speak English and so could not work.

The pollies make it sound good – more workers pay more tax, and our GDP goes up, but they hope that we will not notice that these are only the gross figures, not per capita . Actually when that is taken into account tax payable per head goes down, as does production.

But now, Infrastructure Australia has put a figure on the increased costs of this migration – 300,000 people per year. The agency calculates this rapid growth will cost $55 billion to keep up with the increasing population’s needs in the next 15 years. That does not include health care, welfare, schooling, policing and other additional government services, for some immigrants make additional demands beyond the average Australian.

The Agency also predicts the population of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will reach 30 million in the next 60 years. Since 1990 Australia’s population has increased by 40% ! That is higher than for most countries – double the rate in the US says the World Bank. In the year 2016-2017 Australia’s population increased by 388,100, or 32,341 per month. That far outstrips the 20,000 jobs expected to be added each month, so no wonder wages have not risen.

And yet when Tony Abbott suggested reducing the immigration rate the pollies were lining up to slam his suggestion, with traitorous Scott Morrison claiming his plan would cost the economy $5 billion over 4 years.

He quite ignored the additional government spending required to maintain the current intake, as we have seen. His assistant, Matthias Cormann added,  “To criticise the experts and say someone who is not an expert knows better is not the right approach”.

Maybe not the right approach for the pollies, but for other Australians it sounds rather like the wise recognition of a variation on a Ponzi scheme, which will only result in falling standards all round.

God Is Not Mocked

The juxtaposition on the whole of the front page of last week’s ‘Mail,’ my local newspaper, of the town’s first gay pride march, and the report of a violent fight at our local senior High School which many of us saw depicted on TV, spoke tellingly of the loss of morality in our society, the loss of those respected and eternal laws in God’s word which determine what is right and what is wrong .

Now it seems, almost every kind of perversion is something to be proud of, and neither is there any authority in our schools, so that our teachers are afraid to discipline and dare not intervene even when a student is being kicked in the head, for fear of offending political correctness.

Our churchmen have been so busy doing away with God’s commands that Jesus Christ has disowned them, ‘On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness,’  Matthew 7:22-23. Our government, fearing the left’s political correctness, leans towards making it a criminal offense to speak out against such rebellion and lawlessness, ‘That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.’ Isaiah 29:21.

But God is not mocked. We, as a people have rejected God’s word and, as we saw, we are already reaping the results of our refusal to keep His laws, which God has promised will finally lead to our invasion and destruction, despite our liberal naysayers.

‘The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, when the house of Israel  [The US, Britain and her Commonwealth] lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity. So I poured out my wrath upon them for the blood that they had shed in the land, for the idols with which they had defiled it. I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries. In accordance with their ways and their deeds I judged them,’  Ezekiel 36:16-19. Read the whole of the chapter to see that this is yet future.

Corporate Oppression

It is not often that I have agreed with the Australian opposition leader Bill Shorten, but I was pleased to see him move to change his plan to target pensioners who have some small investments in shares, as he had lumped them in with the rich who benefit too much under some current tax rules. Indeed labour makes a strong point when they claim that the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer, which adds up to oppression.

Not that this is just an Australian problem. It is a problem of human nature found worldwide from communist China to capitalist America, best exemplified in the corporate greed of chief executive officers (CEO’s) who organise obscene salaries for themselves, far beyond what they can ever need or use, just because they can.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported on the 6/12/17, that Australia’s CEO’s earn an average of $4.75 million – or 78 times more than that of the average Australian worker! The Commonwealth Bank CEO Ian Narev pays himself more than 100 times that average salary!

This disgustingly shameful situation is one of the biggest faults of capitalism and something which our conservative political parties in the West would be wise to quickly amend, for it is a self inflicted wound which allows the left an indefensible opening which can lead to the affliction of atheistic socialism or communism.

The truth is that no one is worth more than 5 times the wage of the average worker, for if the average worker is fairly paid, then 5 times that amount will make the recipient rich and beyond that God’s word indicates that wealth does not bring any more happiness, only harm.

Proverbs 1:9, ‘Such are the ways of everyone who is greedy for unjust gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.’ Why ? Matthew 19:23, ‘… Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven, ’ for, Mark 4:19, ‘ the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.’ 1 Tim 6:9, ‘But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.  NLT.  Habakuk 2:10, ‘You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.’
